I love to combine a wide range of techniques from across the discipline of embroidery, with a particular emphasis on adding a sculptural, three-dimensional dimension to my work.
My inspiration comes from a deep passion for historical embroidery and a background in three-dimensional art and design. This blend guides my process as I layer traditional stitches and intricate details alongside sculpted forms, creating rich, textural pieces that bring a new depth to the medium.
I enjoy exploring a variety of methods and materials — from needlepainting, whitework, stumpwork, and goldwork — alongside wire, buckram, and fossshape, to achieve a distinct and expressive blend of artistry, texture, and form in each piece.
The rich colours, intricate textures, and boundless creative possibilities within embroidery continue to inspire me. I aim to celebrate the precision and mastery of historical needlework while embracing artistic freedom, turning a traditional medium into a contemporary form of expression.

Using layered embroidery and 3D elements to depict the physical and emotional journey of aging, reflecting the cycles of life and transformation through the changing seasons.
Chasing the dragon
Exploring the complex duality of the opium trade—its ties to addiction, medical use, and the cultural exchange between East and West symbolised by the Blue Willow pattern.
Beneath the waves
Using techniques like stumpwork, whitework, felting, and needle weaving to contrast the vibrant life of healthy coral with the bleached devastation caused by climate change.
